Cullen Wines
Cullen Wines were ready to celebrate 50 years since Diana Madeline and Kevin John planted their first vines, and engaged Lizzy Pepper to write their story.
The project began with fresh copy for a new website in 2019. Lizzy interviewed winemaker Vanya Cullen about her winemaking ethos, biodynamics and commitment to carbon neutral, before producing new copy for the site.

Shortly after, with the 50 year celebrations fast approaching, Lizzy was re-engaged to write about Margaret River winegrowing pioneers Diana Madeline and Kevin John, and the history of Cullen Wines. It culminated in a 50-year timeline spanning a wall in the Biodynamic Wine Room, plus interpretive signage and press releases.
In 2022, Lizzy interviewed Vanya and wrote about her mother, Diana Madeline Cullen’s contribution to the wine industry ahead of what would have been her 100th birthday.
